Sep 05, 2025 - ISTA Personnel Solutions is hiring a remote Nursing Verification & Support Coordinator. 📍Location: South Africa.

ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa – We are a global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company partnering with a USA-based client that provides skilled nursing care to homebound paediatric patients. We are currently seeking a Nursing Verification & Support Coordinator to join their dynamic and growing team.

 

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all nursing and healthcare-related appointments are accurately recorded, verified, and supported within the scheduling system.

The role requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, to follow up with nurses or staff regarding late arrivals, missed sessions, or discrepancies. This position is not a HR role, however does involve elements of accountability and follow-up with staff to confirm reasons for variances.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining service quality, ensuring that appointment records meet client and insurance requirements, and supporting overall operational efficiency.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Working Hours: This role requires you to work EST hours, Monday - Friday from 9am to 6pm EST (15:00 to 24:00 South African time – subject to change dependent on daylight savings).
  • Work Environment: This is a remote role only.
  • Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
  • Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify nursing appointments within the scheduling system.
  • Identify discrepancies such as overlaps, lateness, or missed appointments.
  • Communicate with nursing staff to confirm reasons for delays or missed sessions.
  • Document and escalate discrepancies where necessary.
  • Collaborate with the scheduling team and onshore supervisors.
  • Ensure records meet healthcare and insurance requirements.
  • Work with scheduling software (Cubhub, Quickbase, Excel) to maintain accurate data.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in healthcare administration, scheduling, quality assurance, or operations support (highly advantageous).
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Tech-savvy; comfortable working with scheduling systems and databases.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team
